Typical of Canarian gastronomy, this dish is known as pella de gofio or gofio amasado.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams of wheat and millet gofio.

  • 250 millilitres of water

  • 1 tablespoon of sugar

  • 1 tablespoon of salt

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Directions

  • Let’s pour the gofio into a bowl.
  • Add the sugar and salt to the water and mix until dissolved.
  • Add the oil to the gofio and pour in the water little by little and stir. We finished kneading with our hands until it is all well bound and form a cylinder with rounded edges.
  • Serve in a dish or plate cut into thick slices.
