Today we bring you a new recipe to lick your fingers: gofio chocolates and nuts. Who doesn’t want a sweet?

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of gofio

  • 2 tablespoons of agave syrup

  • 2 tablespoons of panela or sugar

  • 1 handful of pistachios

  • 1 handful of raisins

  • 50 grams of dark chocolate

  • 1/ tablespoon of saffron

  • Water

Directions

  • Place the gofio in a bowl, add the raisins, pistachios, panela or sugar and stir.
  • Add the agave syrup and start kneading. Gradually add the water and continue kneading until a dense, manageable dough is formed.
  • Take portions of dough with your hands and form small, elongated balls. Put the dough balls in the fridge to cool.
  • Melt the dark chocolate with the saffron in a saucepan, stirring continuously so that it does not burn, or in the bain-marie. Once melted, cook the chocolate over a low heat for several more minutes, stirring continuously.
  • Take the gofio chocolates out of the fridge and dip them in the chocolate.
  • Let the gofio chocolates cool in the fridge until the chocolate hardens and serve.
