Who is bitter on a sweet Sunday? New recipe from Eva Style’s kitchen: Flan with condensed milk and gofio. 100% recommended!

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 jar of condensed milk 400gr

  • 100 g canary gofio

  • 100 gr. of sugar (for the caramel)

  • A drop of lemon juice (for the caramel)

  • A few drops of water (for the candy)

Directions

  • We prepare the caramel: In a saucepan we put the sugar with the drops of lemon and the drops of water. Let the sugar caramelize for a few minutes. When the caramel is done we pour it on the walls and bottom of a mold.
  • We prepare the custard: In a bowl we put the eggs with the condensed milk and the gofio. Beat everything with your arm until the ingredients are well integrated. Pour the mixture into the mold over the caramel.
  • Bake the custard in a bain-marie for 25 or 30 minutes in an oven preheated to 180º. Remove the custard from the oven and let it harden.
  • Pass a knife along the edge to remove it from the mold, pour the condensed milk and gofio custard on a plate. Keep it in the fridge until serving.
  • Tip: insert a skewer or knife to see that the custard is done.
  • Tip: The gofio makes the custard consistent, so be careful not to let it dry out.
  • Tip: If you prefer you can add a little bit of lemon rind before cooking it or a little bit of rum or honey rum.
  • Tip: You can serve the flan with condensed milk and gofio with a bit of cream on top and a pinch of gofio.
